Key Findings
📈 Carbohydrate mouth rinse significantly enhanced total repetitions by 12.3%
🧠 RPE increased across bouts with no difference between conditions
👊 Handgrip strength remained unchanged
Conclusion
Repeated carb mouth rinsing significantly improves intermittent upper-body endurance performance in grappling athletes 💪
During repeated high-intensity exercise (where consuming carbohydrates is not tolerated) carb mouth rinsing could be a viable strategy ✅
